The Winner/Loser Takahina

It's the holidays, and yet Takahina is slacking off by not blogging!! My bad. But to hell with it, no one really seriously reads what I write. People like Serene and Desmond just wanna see more pictures... which I'll gladly show them.

Photobucket

Takahina can search out all types of pictures when he wants to!!! YOU CAN'T STOP ME!

Could this be when it started??? O_O;;

Photobucket

Please look at me....~~

And Serene in her full montage! Very 大胆 ah Serene. Didn't see that in you...

So as usual, with the effects of demand and supply, you demand this, i supply you with it.

In either way, both of us win. You get what you want, I get what I want which is viewership from what I supplied to you.

But really, things don't always get in just the simple win win, you demand I give you type of things. This world is unfair, and thus, there will always be losers. Demand and supply don't ever work the way of win-win situation. When someone wins, someone else will lose.

Maybe Priscilla will want pictures of her up and if I do that I can get her viewership. But thanks to Serene and Desmond who can give me a higher amount of viewership, I rather give them the slot for the pic.

But what the fact I'll just put up Pris's pic for free even though she won't want it up here, and unlikely she'll read my blog... :P

Photobucket

Don't smile if you ever wanna pose EMo.

Sorry Serene and Desmond, only you guys get the ugly pics. :D

However, you all get the picture.

Economics have this one theory about something diminishing something de. I say to hell with it. It's just the theory of win win lose lose. Trust me, in this world you never want to be on the losing end of stuff.

In the past, losing didn't mean much. Because there's the all time big winner the government to help us. Take ancient China for example, you're a poor shit, there'll be either an official or some damn rich trader (they always seem to be Traders for some reason) to support you, give you some porridge when you're in your crisis state and then you appreciate them for all your life, willing to work like bull and dog for them.

Photobucket

I certainly can't see how this dog leads a life of hardship. LOOK IT HAS MORE FREAKING PRESENTS THAN ME ON MY BDAY WTFOMGKNNBBQLOLLLLLLL

Now in the current "free" society, if you're in the losing side you need to cross don't know how many threads and threads and yardsticks of red threads to get any form of support. Might as well don't get and continue paying the society. Charity don't go anywhere but into horsekeeper's or contractor's pocket for either installing some gold plated tap or helping some rich monk breed their horse. Shiok sia.

This is losing. This is the free society whereby the society won't give a damn for those who loses. People may lose, why? Due to lack of luck? Due to lack of information? Due to lack of proper EQ? It happens. In any ways, it just kinda mean, "sorry dude, try again next life!"

Photobucket

Look at Mdm Tan and you know she's leading a damn sad life now.

This don't only just refers to life, let's just say one topic. LOVE.

If you lack the looks, lack the skills, lack the potential, lack the confidence, lack anything at all, or maybe just lack some luck. You're freaking gone. You lose and it's game over for you.

Lol Pictures, Images and Photos

Yeah you know you're screwed like some little twerp who waited 8 years in vain for a girl who ended up as a stick figure.

But in the previous "free-less" world, not really. All you need is some influence, and even if you look like shit, you still can "force" a girl into a marriage. Even if you're some damn freaking useless beggar, you still can rape a girl into a marriage. Damn evil, but that's the "free-less" world for you, a world that we will NEVER be involved right now.

That's why I dare to say, the free world, is not for losers. Either you have something good at hand that can survive you for life, if not you can just seriously end it right here right now.

So, no one wants to be a loser. That's natural. But the problem is how to be a winner. What is the amount of stake you must have in order for you to earn your prize, that is the ultimate question that no one knows. Life is not like some game whereby constant practicing will make you king. Games like L4D is NEVER real, why? Cause there's no way 4 person can come out from a population of undead zombies alive. NO FREAKING WAY.

No way will a boomer see you and say such cute stuff.

Last time, Takahina used to think, "Winning and Losing doesn't matter, its the process and how you cope with it."

True enough, I still think this way. It doesn't matter how many times you lose, as long as you achieve that "win" at last. However, getting through the many times that you lose can be a very very tedious thing. You see people around you winning, while you lose. You think to yourself, it's ok... I'm still learning, I'm a late game hero and given time, I'll huat myself. (No benji, huating myself doesn't mean wanking myself off)

Magikarp Pictures, Images and Photos

A classic example of a creature with a Takahinian spirit!

It's very difficult. Humans are jealous creatures and seeing others around you achieving something which you want to is insanely disturbing. Especially if you see that person undeserving of that victory. You will think, "how the hell did he win me????"

Magikarp Pictures, Images and Photos

You know you epikkk phail at life if you lose to this pokemon trainer.

So you gotta understand the pain of losing. Before you even know how to savour true victory. This is also kinda why Takahina never likes/respect people who achieve "success" without going through much hardship or determination in getting that success. Example are like:

1.

SHINNEE Pictures, Images and Photos

They are Shinnee. In case you can't differentiate them.

Most factory made Korean bands. Even though you guys keep telling me how much they got tortured under their management firms, that still achieve success upon their release and hence faced no true grit and down periods before.

2.

trump Pictures, Images and Photos

Get a new hairstyle you piece of faggot.

Donald Trump, come on I don't care WHAT YOU DO ON TV, however much you boast about yourself and your "hardships". Simple, your money comes from your family. Now STFU TYVM.

3.

BEAUTIFUL BIEBER Pictures, Images and Photos

Helllooooo gay shit!!

Justin Bieber like seriously tried to conquer the whole world's young girls population through just 1 song. Like seriously?? 99% of people on youtube hates you, take it. And don't you dare sing 'baby' in front of me, I'll freaking smack your baby outta your balls! Lawl.

I know this mean seem much like a hate blog etc for the unfairness of the world, but no... don't get me wrong. I'm not complaining for I am already very fortunate. It's just that constant wait for success and retry for victory that is getting on my nerves. My brother Chin Han got the talents, got the diligence, got the determination but no luck. Who am I to complain when he's not?

Winning, is a very sacred thing. But nobody is giving it the respect it should get. You can win in a lot of cases, but if you don't have any sense of appreciation it will backfire on you.

Glee sucks Pictures, Images and Photos

Being labelled a loser, no doubt not fake is rather appalling to me. I admit that up till now, I haven't been able to achieve things which I would have felt as a "Win", maybe it's myself placing unrealistic goals for myself, or simply my goals and targets takes time I do not know. But in a sense, I do not see myself as a loser, because I know the day I see myself as one, I will always be one.

Knowing that the current "free" world doesn't allow people to lose, knowing the pain of experiencing losing, knowing that I'm not at the bottom of the survival list, knowing of the victory that I want to achieve, these will lead me to be a winner, regardless of how long or how difficult that road is.

The Winning Takahina with a spectacle and a grin.

I'll get one pair soon btw. For real. :/

Shibasaki Kou - Euphoria. Perfume - ねえ。。

Shibasaki Kou - Euphoria

* This video has been out for a few days it seems but the official youtube website for Shibasaki Kou's hasn't released anything on it. This is from one of the fans. *

Shibasaki Kou has been a very active artist (acting wise and singing wise) and is still very active right now. Among the few artist I've been updated on, she's the 2nd most fastest singer to release singles, with the 1st being our Madonna of Jpop, Ayumi Hamasaki.

Nevertheless they both go on a seemingly similar music path, that is versatility. Versatile should be the best thing about Shibasaki Kou and her music. She had done many kinds and types of music from ballads, to blues, from very rock to very pop and even electronic. Regardless is it because of her voice, or the musicians behind her, Shibasaki Kou san makes a very good commercial artist. None of her song sounds awful to be frank and she does excellent ballads/emo songs. (her emo songs can be really damn emo)

However, that is about as far as she goes.

Euphoria is a song that strikes on such a point. Overall Euphoria has the touches of Shibasaki Kou's previous song, with this one being more on the pop/emo-rock side. It's refreshing and sounds excellent, but neither surprising nor elating. When I first heard Euphoria, I went "hmmm nice not bad at all." But that's it. Sadly this is the problem with overly commercialized songs. They never sound bad and at times they are really good, but they can never really become a big hit. They don't have the "WOW" factor. Of all the Shibasaki Kou's songs I have heard, only a few out of her whole discography can give me the "WOW" factor. Sadly Euphoria is not it.

With the talents behind Shibasaki Kou's music career, I'm sure they can come out with something more explosive. If not they can experiment more with Shibasaki san's voice or do something really weird rather than the usual ballads, rock, pop songs. Her previous album "Love Paranoia" had her done some electronics techno stuff which sounded good but they aren't the mainly advertised songs. Stop being so cautious, and risk a bit more for Shibasaki san to be a real A-class singer. She's already an A-class actress in Japan, no reason she can't be an A-class singer. ;)

Video wise it looked good but similar to a previous video Kage. Also, I'm confused as to who the girl in black is, Shibasaki Kou herself? Or is it Takeuchi Yuko san. (They almost look the same I swear) The cosmetic at the ending part is a tad on the scary side but it does not worry me that much. Nothing much to complain or comment for at the end. :)

If I may add, she looks much better without the fringe.

Perfume - ねえ

And here is it, the long awaited single from Perfume!! ねえ (Nee)

Being the big Perfume fan I am, it's only natural I have waited in anticipation ever since it's sneak release on the CM. And I'm starting to hate TokumaJapan for always posting short version. ARGH!! Nee started out as the CM for the Perfume endorsed company, Natural Beauty's clothes.

I'm liking Nakata's creative vibes in making Perfume's music now. Ever since their "Game" days, Perfume's music is sounding more and more mature, which goes along with their age. From Fushizen na Girl to Voice, this latest release sounds good and screams of a very Capsule feel, not that I mind it.

Perfume seemed to have "upp-ed" their level of techno and still retained a bit of their own feel. Listen to how the song transform from the chorus to the verse, it's very electronic and upbeat, you can sense Capsule here. Now listen to the verse, it's the slow and melancholy part of Perfume's. They have added the good sides of both Capsule and Perfume into 1 and that is the style of the current Perfume. If any 1 of the 2 factors are gone, this song would have been average at best. Also as compared to Voice, Nee seems to be more "durable" to listen.

Being electronic-pop unit gives them the easy perks for changing sounds but retaining the same good progression and music. Therefore Perfume may have different sounds, but once you hear it you know it's Perfume.

MV had them all looking like models with Natural Beauty's clothes on. As always, Perfume's MV director must be some damn clever guy, he always has this artistic sense in combining the fantasy look into reality. Just as how he had done it with Voice and Fushizen, Nee's MV looks brilliant. Love the cat with Yuka-chan btw :D

Perfume sounds more adult now and I'm seeing that trend for their latest album which I'm predicting to be released either by year end after their 10 year anniversary concert.

The Death-Pondering Takahina

Yes, I'm talking about death again. And I deserved to get a scolding for talking about such a morbid subject again, since now I should be happy after finish my exams and being on a break for almost 3 months straight. Not that I'm not happy... but well...

I mean, I have talked about death for tons and tons of time, again and again. But then I don't know why the topic of death intrigues me so much.

Well, this time 2 things sparkled my interest.

Just the day when I finished my FSB test (Monday), I went to watch Rurouni Kenshin Seisouhen.

Photobucket

And well, naturally most of you people out there who don't watch anime or watch Rurouni Kenshin, aka Samurai X, this anime is the final instalment for this epic anime series. Seisouhen is a follow up of the story, from even after the manga ends. Naturally this means that this story is not from the original author, but still it's an official release and it means the last of the story... when I mean the last, I meant THE LAST. It's the most conclusive ending ever.

I don't wanna spoil it for people who have watched and read Rurouni Kenshin and is interested in seeing Seisouhen. But then... you don't need to be a rocket scientist to know what I'm talking about. Death here. I mean, it doesn't get more definitive than that. Imagine Naruto dying in his manga. No more Naruto liao right?

And of course, watching Seisouhen made me weep like a crybaby.

Then of course, the big news that happened last week, the death of our Immortal Lee's wife. It swept the whole country and even made Genting's share prices drop from $2 to $1.80. My father missed the chance to buy the stocks, and now the stocks rose back to almost $2.20... this made him piping mad.

Photobucket

Believe me... Behind my smile... I am ANGRY!! @%$@#%$^@^#$&@%^@&@

Seriously, you don't wanna mess with Takapapa.

But these 2 deaths have a seemingly worrying similarity.

SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

When Kenshin passed away in Seisouhen (yes yes yes... I still said out the spoilers), it brought relief to him and his last struggle in life. His struggle of believing in his beliefs and seeking penance for the all the killings he had done, was finally resolved at his death. This brought out a bittersweet and depressing ending to the epic life of our hero. He found peace at his expected death and his loved ones, like Kaoru have seen everything and experienced everything and understood everything. She understood the peace Kenshin finally got at the end of everything but still can't help but be sad at it all. And since Kaoru has got the same disease as him, she knows she'll join him soon. It's like saying...

"It's ok. You can go now. I'll join you soon and we will view the falling sakura together."

.
. Ok I know this is irritating. By the way I had written a new review for this Anime series in Takahina's Reviews

For Mdm Kwa, her final 2 years were painful for everyone around her. Surely we all would have experienced or seen something similar to maybe our friends or relatives. The pain of seeing someone close to death, yet still hanging on dearly. When she passed away, and when Lee Kwan Yew was giving his final speech on the wake, you can see the inner strength he has. For someone being able to give such a touching speech and not shed even a drop of tear, that shows of someone with truly an soul. The last kiss he gave her upon her departure, the last look he had for her... I'm pretty sure it contained tons of emotions for all his struggle and everything his wife had done for him at the end. He may not cry in front of the camera, but I believe deep inside him, it hurts more than anyone else. Mdm Kwa's death could be a sense of release for her and MM Lee Kwan Yew, maybe like saying...

"It's ok. You can go now. I'll join you soon and we can watch how Singapore grows together."

Both of them kinda have the same factors, death as a form of relief and peace finally obtained for the departed ones and loved ones. Death is astonishingly painful and yet bittersweet.

I don't have the literacy, if not I would have added in a phrase or poem to compliment to this feeling.

I have mentioned before on death being a final dateline and report book, on death being a fear, on death being sad and depressing, now I'm talking about death being a form of bittersweet relief.

I may not be mature enough to understand fully the notion of death. The current person closest to me that died was my tuition teacher Miss Lee, and up till now I haven't got anything relatively close. Somehow though, when people know they are about to die and that everything is finally done, like they have done their dues for being in this world, that peace which they had obtained and expressed in their faces, is invaluable, and at the same time heart-wrenching for people around. Because it meant...

"I am ready. You can take me now."

Somehow after watching Seisouhen, it made me have this very mixed feelings within me right now. Even up till now, this anime scene haunts me. I don't know I should feel happy knowing that Kenshin has obtained peace, or sad that he died. This is just an anime scene, imagine what will happen to me if it is in real life, I won't know whether I can survive the pain or not.

Euthanasia was something that I had supported ever since I saw how my grandfather struggled at his death bad. It made me realized sometimes things would be better off once you realized that you have no more chance of survival. You would only become a burden if that happens to everyone around you and you as a person won't want that to happen, you would rather die than be a burden, hence Euthanasia should be allowed.

Now I'm thinking twice.

A person should be responsible for allocating his own death. When he wants to die, should be decided by his inner peace; that inner soul within him. When he finally understood everything, that inner peace should be able to flow out and people around, would finally know that that is when he's ready. Instead if once you become a burden with no chance of survival, you should die under Euthanasia, this is painful. Had this been supported in Singapore, Mdm Kwa would have died 2 years ago. Kenshin would have been put to rest by Sanosuke.

Death is a very strange thing in that everyone would have different response to it. I believe that had you not achieved what you want in life, you would not want to die. Even if you really had to die, that death will be estranged and painful more rather than peaceful for the deceased. Few can achieve the notion of RIP. Religion can help achieve peace, relationships can help achieve peace, dreams can help achieve peace, forgiveness can help achieve peace. I guess at the end of the day this peace is still ultimately difficult to achieve, because it's the person who has to be at peace himself. Unless you have been satisfied with your own report book of life, you won't get peace.

My grandfather in my own personal opinion, didn't score a big score in his life report book. But the look on his face when he passed away was unforgettable, despite all that he done, he still realized this peace within him as he went away.

Same as my tuition teacher as she finally realized her own peace with the success of her students and meeting all of them for the last time at her bed in the hospital and the help from the religion that she has scorned throughout her life(Christianity). She finally passed away the night when she was visited by the last student who flown in from overseas to see her.

I don't know how this would affect any of you but I know now, at least I have grown a bit more mature.

The next time you do get a chance to witness something similar, please reflect and experience the crunch of emotions you do get inside, the bittersweet depression that can only be experienced from true peace. For it's these emotions, that make you more human.
